Pasta Prima Vera

Last night, I invited my friend Tavish over for dinner. It was nice to hang out and cook with someone else since both of my roommates have left. Tavish actually gave up meat for the month of July so we made a vegetarian dish and it was really good! I would say it is a really good summer pasta that is super easy to make and doesn't take much time at all.

Ingredients:

1 box of rotini pasta (or any pasta you want really)

1/2 a squash (cut into halves)

1/2 of a 1/2 of zucchini (cut into halves)

1 whole tomato

garlic (however much you want really)

1 can of vienna sausages (cut into bite size pieces, i added this afterwards because i wanted to add a little meat to the pasta)

garlic powder

chili flakes

salt

pepper

Well, first cook the pasta for about 8-10 minutes and then drain.

For the vegetables, add a little bit of oil to your skillet and add the garlic. Let the garlic cook until golden and then add the squash and zucchini. Saute the vegetables for about 5 minutes, until a little golden. Afterwards, put the vegetables in a large bowl. Use the skillet you used for the vegetables and put the pasta in it,  then add a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, chili flakes and garlic powder to your liking. Add vegetables and then heat it up for about 5 minutes max. After your pasta has been heated, pour into a bowl and top with the fresh tomatoes. If you want, you can add the vienna sausages afterwards. If you want, you can add more garlic powder, chili flakes, salt, or pepper to your discretion.

Bon appetit! This is a great pasta that is super light and is really easy to make (: Enjoy!
